Camping and fishing on the banks of the majestic Fraser River
We welcome you to Cheam First Nation territory, on Pilalt Tribal grounds, to share in the beauty and abundance of the Fraser River. This is an ancient fishing village where the Stó:lō, the People of the River, have fished for 10,000 years.
The Cheam Fishing Village and Campground is located on the bank of the majestic Fraser River. We are a seasonal campground which opened this year on June 1
and closed on September 30, 2020.
The campground offers 52 spacious campsites plus 3 group sites, a boat launch, riverside walking trails, fire pits, picnic tables, 30amp power & water hookups, overflow
parking, cantina, and direct access to the largest, healthiest salmon, sturgeon and trout
fishing in the world.
The Campground is secluded yet close to shopping centres, major cities and
activities for families of all ages.
EVENTS & ATTRACTIONS
Cheam Fishing Village is located along the Fraser River on First Nations land. The campsites are laid out a bit like parking lot spots, with enough room for a trailer and picnic table. You have your choice of being river front or along the path where there is more shade from the trees.
You can walk down to the river where the boat launch/dock is, grab a chair and clunk it right into the water and enjoy the serenity and view.
Forget something? Need ice? Ran out of booze? That's ok, hop across the highway and you're in town in 15 minutes.
Don't want to lose touch in your social media circle? That's ok too, you get full reception for all your picture sharing or quarrel verification.
